Mysuru woman braves leopard to save mother-in-law, earns Minister’s praise

Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Hebbalkar has lauded the extraordinary courage of Sujatha, a resident of Siddharthanagar in Mysuru, who risked her life to rescue her elderly mother-in-law from a leopard that had taken shelter under a cot inside their home.

Describing the incident as a powerful testament to bravery and familial bonds, Ms. Hebbalkar said that although the incident unfolded suddenly, it reflected “exceptional courage and the sacred relationship between a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.”
