For the first time since assuming office, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary is gearing up to visit Nalanda district. His itinerary includes attending the grand finale of the biennial fair at Pranawa village, where he will pay his respects at the revered Baba Mahto Sahib Temple.
Biharsharif: Nalanda district administration on Thursday reviewed preparations for the CM Samrat Choudhary’s proposed visit on Friday. This is his first visit to the district after assuming office.As per the official schedule, the CM will visit Pranawa village in Sarmera block to offer prayers at the Baba Mahto Sahib Temple on the concluding day of the Shri Shri 108 Shri Sharan Niwas Baba Mahto Saheb biennial two-day fair.In preparation for the visit, DM Kundan Kumar inspected the temple premises, helipad and adjoining fairgrounds, and issued directives to officials to ensure adequate arrangements and tight security measures.The fair attracts thousands of devotees from Nalanda and neighbouring districts. It features rituals, offerings, local markets and cultural programmes.To manage the crowd and ensure safety, authorities have planned separate entry and exit routes. Police personnel, fire services and ambulances have been deployed, while senior officials have been instructed to maintain close coordination for the smooth conduct of both the CM’s visit and the fair.
