Nara Lokesh meets President Murmu, thanks her for approving Amaravati Capital Bill

IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh on Monday (April 13, 2026) met President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi and thanked her for approving the Bill that notified Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He was accompanied by MPs of the ruling coalition in the State.

Mr. Lokesh said in a social media post that the President acknowledged the sacrifice of farmers and the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in bringing long-awaited clarity on the capital issue.
