A new national initiative aimed at tackling rising digital safety and wellbeing concerns was launched in Hyderabad on Saturday (April 4). The Council for Digital Safety and Wellbeing (CDSW), a not-for-profit platform founded by Aditya Vuchi and Anil Rachamalla, seeks to establish structured standards for safe and responsible technology use across the country.

Launching the initiative, Mr. Vuchi underscored the scale of the challenge, noting that India has over 750 million internet users who spend close to seven hours a day online. He cautioned that the impact of excessive and unregulated digital exposure is now visible across households, schools and workplaces, with shrinking attention spans among children, growing digital fatigue in professionals, and increasing cases of cyberbullying and anxiety linked to social media.
