The National Cadet Corps (NCC) training must evolve in line with emerging technological advancements, with a sharper focus on cyber and drone training programmes, Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, Director General of NCC, said during his visit to the NCC Directorate Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in Secunderabad on Tuesday (March 17).

Stressing the changing nature of security and technology, Lt Gen Vats said there is a pressing need to strengthen cyber training modules and expand drone-related programmes to better prepare NCC cadets for future challenges. “Equipping cadets with such skills would enhance their readiness to operate in increasingly technology-driven environments,” he added.
