NEET question paper leak: Higher Education Minister Roji M. John criticises Union Minister

Higher Education Minister Roji M. John has criticised Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET question paper leak issue. In a statement, Mr. John said as many as 12 students have allegedly died by suicide during the last month due to severe mental stress. Despite such circumstances, the Union Minister purportedly ignored the concerns of students and parents during such instances.

He said that the hard work of over 22 lakh students, who studied for a year sacrificing sleep, was undermined when certain rackets allegedly traded examination papers “with the full support of the Central government”.

He also alleged that the repeated incidents of paper leaks and irregularities in CBSE examinations reflect an approach by the Union Education Minister that protects the “examination mafia”.
