Further police investigation revealed that the accused was habituated to a lavish lifestyle and took up to house burglaries
Tirupati: Vedayapalem police in Nellore district arrested a habitual offender and recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹11 lakh from the possession of the accused. According to Nellore town ASP Deeksha, a special police team led by Vedayapalem CI K Srinivasa Rao was constituted to probe into a major burglary case reported at the Revenue colony in Nellore rural mandal after valuables, including cash and silver ornaments, were reported stolen.
After maintaining a close surveillance on the movement of the accused, police arrested U Siva Narayana (31) near Buja Buja Nellore on the national highway on Tuesday. Police seized gold ornaments weighing 162 grams and silver articles weighing 340 grams. Further police investigation revealed that the accused was habituated to a lavish lifestyle and took up to house burglaries. Vedayapalem police produced him before the local court, and the accused was subsequently sent to judicial remand.
