New Jersey Mayor Laura Pfrommer Honours Jain Acharya Lokesh at City Council

World Peace Ambassador Jain Acharya Lokesh was honoured by Mayor Laura Pfrommer of Egg Harbour Township at the City Council Hall of Egg Harbour Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey, USA.

On the occasion, Mayor Pfrommer presented a proclamation to Acharya Lokesh in recognition of his outstanding contributions toward global peace, harmony, and human values. Mayor Laura Pfrommer, welcoming Acharya Lokesh, described him as a “World Peace Ambassador” and expressed deep appreciation for his tireless efforts to promote peace, interfaith harmony, and humanitarian values worldwide. Basant Gupta, Member of the Atlantic County Cultural and Heritage Board, was also present on the occasion.

Mayor Laura Pfrommer stated that Acharya Lokesh has been working relentlessly to establish global peace and harmony. She noted that his “We Support Peace” mission has now reached the United States of America and is inspiring people to contribute toward the vision of a war-free world. She expressed her support for the campaign and commended Acharya Lokesh’s commitment to creating a more peaceful and united world.

Jain Acharya Lokesh, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and World Peace Centre, said that he represents the great Indian philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — The World is One Family. He emphasised that Indian culture has always guided humanity toward welfare, coexistence, and universal brotherhood.Acharya Lokesh stated that war and violence can never solve any problem. Violence only breeds further violence, while wars bring immense suffering and are a curse for humanity.

He observed that wars lead to loss of life and property, inflation, unemployment, pandemics, and humanitarian crises, whose consequences affect future generations as well. Therefore, he urged nations and communities worldwide to resolve differences through dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect.

He further stressed that sustainable development and human progress are possible only in an environment of peace and harmony.

Extending his best wishes for the well-being of all, he prayed for peace, happiness, and prosperity for humanity.Acharya Lokesh also highlighted the global “We Support Peace” campaign, which he launched with the vision of creating a “War-Free World.” Through this initiative, people from different countries, cultures, and communities are being united in support of peace, harmony, and human values so that future generations may inherit a safer, happier, and more prosperous world.Concluding the program, Acharya Lokesh called upon citizens worldwide to make peace a global priority. He emphasised that comprehensive development and lasting progress cannot be achieved unless the world embraces an atmosphere of peace, harmony, and mutual respect.
