In a recent post game press conference, Jalen Brunson was asked if he is planning to change his career after securing 27 votes from the New York City Mayor to run for the elections, in the 2025 New York mayoral elections, to which Josh Hart jokingly commented that Brunson would be a “terrible” mayor.

However, Jalen Brunson, who received 35 points in a recent New York Knicks vs Toronto Raptors game, in which the Knicks secured an ultimate victory, immediately shut down the idea.“I did see that. At this point in my life, no, I would not consider…I'm just going to focus on basketball. We have a great fanbase, it's funny, it's cool to see, but I'ma stay in my lane”, Brunson responded, when asked about his views on running for the mayor.
