Newly-married woman found hanging at in-laws’ house

Gorakhpur: A 24-year-old newly-married woman was found hanging inside her house in Rampur khurd village under Pipraich police station on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Kavita Chaudhary, wife of Mahesh Chaurasia.

According to family members, Kavita had married Mahesh on May 7 this year. Around 8pm on Monday, relatives allegedly found her hanging in the house.On receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. Police teams also collected evidence from the scene and questioned family members and neighbours.Pipraich SHO Vivek Trivedi said the exact cause of death would be established only after the postmortem report is received.
