Newlywed woman dies under suspicious circumstances in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: A newlywed woman was found dead, hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence in Madhurawada locality under PM Palem police station limits in Vizag city on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Y Krishnaveni (25), a native of Mentada in Vizianagaram district.

She married Murali on May 13 this year.The couple had moved to Vizag in search of livelihood and rented a house in RH Colony during the first week of June. Murali works for a private company in the city, while Krishnaveni was employed at a shop in Gopalapatnam.Police said Murali left for work as usual on Wednesday morning and returned home at night. On entering the house, he found Krishnaveni hanging from the ceiling fan.Upon receiving information, police rushed to the scene but did not find any suicide note in the house. The body was shifted to King George (KG) Hospital for postmortem examination.PM Palem police said the cause of death is yet to be established. A case has been registered under suspicious circumstances, and police are questioning Murali as well as members of both families.
