New Delhi: Realme has officially announced it will expand the Realme 16 series with the unveiling of the Realme 16 5G soon.
Realme already introduced Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro Plus, and now it is launching the base model of the series. Realme 16 will be India’s first “Selfie Mirror Phone.” The selfie mirror is stated to enable users to preview their shots in real-time with the simple twist of the device.
Realme 16 will focus on the camera and design, especially with the unveiling of the selfie mirror feature. This will enable the users to preview shots in a real-time reflective surface, helping with the framing and composition without relying entirely on the front camera viewfinder. Realme 16 will arrive with an elegant air design that feels effortlessly light, perfectly gleaming, and instantly boosts the user’s confidence.
This device will feature a slim and lightweight design with a glossy finish. There is also a dedicated microsite about the introduction of the stated device, which has gone live on Realme’s official website as well as the e-commerce platform Flipkart’s website, indicating its availability on Flipkart post-introduction. Realme 16 might largely mirror its specifications with the Vietnamese variant, which was introduced back in January.
It is expected to feature a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, and it also comes with up to 1,400nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. Out of the box, it might run on Android 16 based on Realme UI 7. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor.
It might be coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It might house a massive 7,000mAh battery with 60W wired fast charging and reverse charging support. In terms of the camera, it might feature a 50MP front-facing camera sensor for selfies and video calling, and a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera sensor alongside a 2MP auxiliary lens on the back.
