Neyveli book fair a big draw among schoolchildren

The 25th Neyveli Book Fair 2026 is turning out to be a huge draw registering about 38,000 footfalls in the first four days.

Over 10,000 titles are on display with 187 stalls put up by leading publishers and booksellers at the Book Fair Grounds, Block - 11 in Neyveli. This year’s event has been attracting a large number of schoolchildren, organisers said.

Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, NLCIL Chairman and Managing Director said that entry for schoolchildren would be free throughout the event (June 19 to June 28).

Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar reiterated the importance of inculcating reading habit in children. He said that NLCIL was the only Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) to organise a book fair on this scale.

He appealed to NLCIL to continue its support to the district administration to take Cuddalore district to next level of development.
