1 in the most recent ESPN ratings released on July 14. ESPN asks NFL coaches, scouts, and executives yearly to pick the best quarterbacks; Josh Allen keeps climbing the rankings.

Many fans are now wondering, will Josh Allen finally take the top spot next year? As one NFL executive said, “Only thing left to do is win it all.”

Josh Allen rises to No 2 behind Patrick Mahomes in ESPN poll

In this year’s quarterback rankings by ESPN, Josh Allen passed several big names to land just below Patrick Mahomes.

Over 80 experts from inside the league, coaches, team scouts, and front office staff voted for the list.

While Patrick Mahomes kept his No. 1 spot, many voters said he didn’t dominate like in past years. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Josh Allen has “erased any doubt” with his strong stats last season.Josh Allen rushed for 12 more touchdowns himself in 2024 and threw for more than 3,700 yards, 28 passing touchdowns.

Showing leadership and control on the field, he was a major member of the Bills' playoff run. Patrick Mahomes, while still strong, had a few games where his numbers dipped a bit compared to past seasons.
