Chloe Kim walked onto The Kelly Clarkson Show on March 4 as a two-time Olympic gold medalist fresh off a silver at the 2026 Winter Olympics. She left as the person who sang a Kelly Clarkson song directly to Pink's face and called it perfect.The 25-year-old snowboarder sat down with guest host Pink, who was filling in for the week in honor of Women's History Month. The conversation turned to music, Kim decided to open up about her childhood favorites, and things went sideways fast. She started singing "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger", straight to Pink, who has never recorded that song. Pink stopped her: "That's Kelly Clarkson." Kim's response: "Oh, I'm sorry, oh my god." Pink gave her the lifeline: "But that's fine, because I'm Kelly Clarkson today!" Kim still wasn't done.

"No, yeah, you are Kelly Clarkson today. No, but oh my gosh, f***** perfect. Wait, guys, I am so embarrassed. I'm so sorry. I took a nap before I came on here today, and I literally woke up five minutes ago. But no, I love your music, I do." Pink hugged her, said they were good, and moved on.

The mix-up aside, Kim's 2026 has been brutal in the best way. She dislocated her shoulder in Switzerland during training a month before the Games and competed anyway.

On February 12 in Livigno, Italy, she took silver in the women's halfpipe, her third consecutive Olympic medal, following gold in 2018 and 2022.She told Pink the recovery is on pause by choice: "I need to get surgery, but I feel like you have to be in a sling for six weeks and I don't have time to do that right now." On whether she felt pain competing: "No, just go time."

Pink also asked about a music career. Kim competed on Fox's Masked Singer in 2020, reaching the semifinals as Jellyfish.

She was briefly into it, then reality hit. "So I was on the Masked Singer and I feel like I was really into that idea when I was on because I was in that mode but now I'm kind of like that sounds like a lot of work. I don't know how you guys do it."
