Nick Jonas has reacted to online speculation surrounding a viral video of his brother Joe Jonas. Months after social media was set ablaze with a viral TikTok post claiming that the singer was allegedly taking drugs during a concert, Nick has now shared his take on the clip and more.
Appearing on The Zach Sang Show, Nick was asked about a clip from 2025 that went viral online. The clip in question showed the singer fidgeting with his nose backstage and appearing to wipe something off. The footage made some users suggest that Joe was 'snorting cocaine' back stage, while still in view of the audience.
Nick Jonas comes to Joe Jonas' defence
Reacting to the claims, Nick admitted that he was aware of the video and the chatter surrounding it. “That’s crazy,” he said and added, “Imagine how… wild that would be if he was doing that.
But I think that people think that’s what rockstars do. That’s not a thing that happens, especially not on stage.”
About the viral clip
The video first sparked a huge debate late last year, prompting even Joe to go on record and firmly denied any drug use. In an interview with Esquire, Joe addressed the rumours, stating, “I’ve never touched cocaine in my life.” He also pointed out the impracticality of such claims, saying, "If I did, I think I’d be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage."
