Nitish meets ailing Bashishth at his residence

Patna: Former CM and JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar on Monday visited senior party functionary Bashishth Narayan Singh at his residence to inquire about his health and wish him a speedy recovery.According to a JD(U) statement, Nitish wished Singh good health and a long life. The two also recalled memories from their long political association and held discussions on social and political issues. Senior JD(U) functionary Lalan Kumar Sarraf was present during the meeting.Bashishth has shared a long association with Nitish, dating back to the students’ movement led by Jayaprakash Narayan in 1974. He later worked closely with Nitish after joining the Samata Party and went on to serve as JD(U) state president, national vice-president and a three-term Rajya Sabha member.After meeting Singh, Nitish visited the JD(U) state headquarters in Patna. The party later shared photographs of the meeting on its official social media platforms.
