‘No Flooding Reported’: Noida Airport Officials Respond To Viral Rain Leak Video Shared By Congress

After a video purportedly showing water leakage inside the Noida International Airport terminal following rainfall went viral on social media, airport officials rejected claims of flooding and clarified that no such incident was reported.

The airport authorities clarified that the video was from the domestic terminal’s boarding area and said no incident of flooding was reported at any point. They added that the terminal is operating normally and that the video, which was originally uploaded by a news portal, was later taken down.

The clarification came after the Congress shared the video and questioned the quality of construction work at the newly built airport. The opposition party alleged irregularities in the construction process and raised concerns over the standards followed in the development of the facility.

Sharing the video, the Congress wrote, “Noida International Airport, after just 15 minutes of rain…" and claimed, “Cost: ₹29,500 crore. BJP’s commission: hidden/covered up." The party also pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the airport just three months ago.

The Congress accused the government of corruption and demanded accountability from authorities over the alleged leak, questioning how a newly constructed airport terminal could face such issues soon after its inauguration.

The allegations have triggered a political debate over the construction quality of the airport, with the Congress seeking answers from those responsible for the project, while airport officials maintain that the viral video does not reflect any flooding incident at the terminal.
