Kamal Nath dismisses reports of gas and LPG shortage, says claims are exaggerated and an artificial atmosphere of scarcity is being created.

Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Thursday dismissed reports of a shortage of gas and LPG, stating that the issue is being exaggerated.
Speaking to reporters in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, Nath said, “There is no such shortage. It is just an atmosphere being created that there is a shortage."
His statement, however, appears to differ from the broader stance taken by the Indian National Congress, which has been raising concerns over fuel supply disruptions and rising prices in the backdrop of the ongoing West Asia crisis.
In recent days, several Congress leaders have criticised the Centre over fuel management, warning of pressure on supply chains due to escalating tensions in West Asia.

Earlier in the day, Sama Rammohan Reddy, who heads communications for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not being present at the all-party meeting convened on the West Asia conflict.
He claimed the Prime Minister stayed away from deliberations on the crisis, particularly its possible effects on LPG availability, and alleged that leaders of the BJP are more focused on electoral politics than on addressing pressing public concerns.
Reddy also emphasised that the evolving situation in West Asia demands the Prime Minister’s direct involvement, given the significance of the issue and his position at the helm of the country’s administration.
