Around 50,865 domestic LPG consumers in Bilaspur district risk disruption in their cooking gas supply if they fail to complete the mandatory E-KYC process for their connections within the next week.
District Controller of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Bilaspur, Brijendra Pathania, said on Thursday that, in line with directives from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, E-KYC has been made compulsory for all active LPG connections.
He warned that LPG connections for which E-KYC remains incomplete may be blocked from booking or obtaining refills after the deadline expires in one week.
According to the official, there are currently 1,30,149 active domestic LPG connections in Bilaspur district. Of these, E-KYC has been completed for 79,284 connections, while it is still pending for 50,865 consumers.
Pathania urged all LPG consumers who have not yet completed their E-KYC to immediately contact their respective gas agencies or distributors to avoid suspension of subsidies or disruption in LPG cylinder supply.
He clarified that for completing the E-KYC process, LPG connection holders must have their Aadhaar card, registered mobile number, and LPG consumer number or gas passbook.
Reiterating his appeal, he asked all consumers to complete their E-KYC at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted access to their LPG gas supply and to prevent any inconvenience in the coming days.
