No place for Ganesh in NSS director board

Kottayam: Former minister K B Ganesh Kumar has not been elected to the NSS director board. Vacancies existed in nine posts, including Kumar’s seat, after the members completed their term. Although Kumar attended the budget session on Saturday, he was not considered.

He also did not step forward to contest. The other eight members were retained, and VRK Babu was chosen in Kumar’s place.Meanwhile, Kumar alleged that he was removed from the director board in an undemocratic way. He said he has the backing of 12 members in the taluk union. He said the opposition did not come from the general secretary’s side and claimed that certain officials were behind it. Meanwhile, Sukumaran Nair said Ganesh was dropped because his term ended.S Suresh Kumar, in-charge president of Changanassery taluk union, has been nominated as an expert additional member. K Sreesh Kumar was also elected to the NSS council. V R Radhakrishnan, president of the Ranni union, was co-opted to the director board.
