The recent increase in sanitary charges during the water tariff hike has left non-domestic users in the Peenya Industrial Area reeling, as the total costs have reportedly increased multi-fold. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is likely to revisit the hike and review the charges again, according to sources.
A member of the Peenya Industries Association (PIA) told The Hindu that multiple establishments had written to the chairman seeking intervention to reduce the charges, as the revised rates were substantial.
