'None Responsible For My Death': Assam Man Dies By Suicide After Losing Two Beloved Pet Dogs

Dwaipayan Sen was found dead after allegedly consuming poison, friends say he was heartbroken over deaths of his pet dogs Marley and Caesar.

A young man from Assam’s Sribhumi district has died by suicide, with family members and friends saying he had been struggling with grief following the recent loss of his two beloved pet dogs.

The deceased, identified as Dwaipayan Sen of Neelmoni Road, was a former president of the Assam NSUI.

Sen allegedly consumed aluminium phosphide, The Sentinel reported. Before his death, he shared a WhatsApp status that read: “None is responsible for my death. Will meet my Marley Caesar now."

According to the publication, Sen’s dog, Marley and Caesar, were Dwaipayan’s cherished pet dogs. The animals had fallen seriously ill, and despite being taken to Guwahati for treatment, both died. Those close to him said he was deeply affected by their loss.

Dwaipayan was well known in the area for his love for animals and his efforts to help injured and sick pets. Friends described him as a calm, kind and compassionate person who often assisted pet owners in arranging treatment for animals. They said he considered Marley and Caesar part of his family, the report said.

Police are investigating the case, while tributes have poured in from friends and local residents remembering Dwaipayan for his compassion towards both people and animals.
