The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Kolkata on Monday condemned the incident at its Govinda’s vegetarian restaurant in London, where a man entered and consumed meat on the premises, sparking massive outrage.
Radharaman Das, Vice President of ISKCON’s Kolkata (West Bengal) chapter, said the act was “not driven by hunger, but by hate — calculated, deliberate, and shameless."
“Just yesterday in London, a man walked into ISKCON’s Govinda’s restaurant — a place of pure, sattvic food — pulled out meat he had brought from outside, and ate it in front of the devotees, filming himself. This wasn’t hunger. This was hate — calculated, deliberate, and shameless," Das told CNN-News18.
