Chennai: A day before the NEET re-exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday conducted the mock drill of delivering question papers and the collection of answer sheets with escorts to prevent any leak of question papers.

Further, the exam centres were brought under CCTV surveillance to prevent any malpractices during the exam.Officials said the exam centres will have multi-layered security arrangements on the exam day. As many as 1,42,489 students will take the NEET re-exam from 307 centres in the state on Sunday. More than 20,000 students are expected to appear for the exam in 43 exam centres in the city.According to the NTA, candidates will be allowed into exam halls from 11 am to 1.30 pm. The examination will be conducted from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. Candidates must carry their admit cards, along with any one of the original ID cards. They have been advised to wear light clothing with half-sleeve shirts or T-shirts and trousers. Slippers and low-heeled footwear are preferred.NTA also prohibited electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, bluetooth accessories, earphones and large belt buckles, heavy jewellery inside the exam hall.
