NTK supporter held for making derogatory remarks

COIMBATORE: The Race Course police in Coimbatore city arrested a supporter of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) on Wednesday for making derogatory remarks against a functionary of the Dravidar Kazhagam.The arrested man was identified as A Sarangapani, 67, of Cuddalore. He was a supporter of the NTK. He had made derogatory remarks against Dravidar Kazhagam general secretary S M Mathivathani in a recent interview on a YouTube channel.Dravidar Kazhagam's Coimbatore district secretary Prabhakaran lodged a complaint with the Race Course police against Sarangapani. An FIR was registered against him on July 12.After his arrest, Sarangapani was produced before a judicial magistrate who released him on conditional bail.
