Safety measures in case of snake bites

In case of a snake bite, the first thing to do is to stay as cool as possible and rush immediately to a nearby hospital. The limb where the snake bite occurred should be kept stationary and positioned below heart level. Rings, watches, and any tight clothing around the bitten area should be removed.Do not attempt to chase down or capture the snake, as doing so can result in more bites. Do not attempt to cut, suction out, place ice on, put a tourniquet on, or apply any other first aid measures to the bite site, as these practices will likely increase your injuries. If it is possible, attempt to memorize what the snake looks like or even take a picture of the snake from a safe distance.
