Of 15,200 candidates from Dakshina Kannada trained under PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, only 8.45% placed

Of 15,200 candidates trained/oriented under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) in Dakshina Kannada till last year, only 8.45% (1,284 candidates) were placed, according to the Union government.

Of 8,491 candidates trained under the scheme in Udupi district till December 31, 2025, only 8.63% (733 candidates) were placed. PMKVY came into being in 2015.
