Oliver Rowland may not have enjoyed the best weekend in Sanya, but he has something special back home to cheer him up. His new house in Dubai is now almost complete and features an old-fashioned spiral staircase as well as a swimming pool.
The Nissan driver has shared a glimpse of his newly renovated home, alongside footage showing how it looked before it was given a new lease of life.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Monday, Oliver Rowland shared a video of his newly renovated house. “Almost there now,” he captioned the clip.The video offered a glimpse of the main entrance, which opens into a hallway featuring extensive storage along one side. Beyond the entrance is an open-plan living area, with a spiral staircase positioned to the left.
The space opens into a hall housing two dining tables, with a television room on one side and an open-plan kitchen on the other.The video also showed a patio overlooking the garden, while the television room offers uninterrupted outdoor views through full-length glass walls. The garden itself includes a swimming pool, which is visible from the dining area.

Rowland also shared another video showing the property before renovation work began, with false ceilings removed and several walls knocked down as part of the transformation.
The swimming pool is a new addition and has been incorporated into the spacious garden area. “There is where we started back in November,” he wrote alongside the footage.The day before, his wife Lauren Rowland wished him a Happy Father's Day by sharing a heartwarming photo of him with their daughter Harper and son Hennie.

Oliver Rowland was unable to finish the race in Sanya after making a costly error. Reflecting on the disappointing outing, he shared a post on social media.
“Stupid mistake yesterday. Threw away a decent result by being too optimistic and impatient. Sorry to the team! Full focus for Shanghai! #nissan #nismo #sanya #china,” he wrote alongside a few pictures from Sanya. His team, Nissan, responded in the comments: “Incredible drive nonetheless. Bring on Shanghai soon.”Despite the setback, Rowland remains second in the championship standings with 109 points, behind current Formula E championship leader Mitch Evans of Jaguar TCS Racing.However, he is only six points ahead of Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara, who sits third in the Drivers’ Championship standings.The upcoming Shanghai E-Prix could prove to be a turning point in the title fight if the results produce any surprises.
