A disturbing incident was captured on CCTV in West Delhi after two scooter-borne men were seen stealing from a man who collapsed on the street following a heart attack, and later died.

The episode occurred in the Vikas Nagar area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Ranholla Police Station, in Delhi.

According to the details, the man suddenly fell to the road at around 5 pm on January 30 and began convulsing.

The CCTV footage, now being examined by investigators, shows the victim struggling on the ground in what appears to be the aftermath of a heart attack.

Moments later, two young men arrived at the spot on a scooter.

One of them, seated on the pillion, got off the two-wheeler and walked up to the unconscious man.

He took the victim’s mobile phone and then briefly walked away before returning to check his pockets for other valuables.

Finding nothing else, he turned to leave again.

The footage then shows the suspect apparently noticing a nearby CCTV camera.

As the man on the road continued to convulse, both riders quickly fled the scene on their scooter, leaving the victim unattended.

The man reportedly remained lying on the road for several hours.

Around 8 pm, local residents who stepped out of their homes noticed the body and alerted the police.

Officers reached the location, took custody of the remains, and sent them for post-mortem examination.

In a statement, Delhi Police said there were no visible signs of assault or external injury on the body.

“The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report," officials said, adding that teams are analysing CCTV footage from the area to identify and track down the two suspects.

[News18 did not share the video because of its graphic and disturbing content, noting that the visuals showed the man in severe distress following the suspected cardiac episode.]
