Madrid remain second in the CL table with 15 points, six behind leaders Arsenal who posted a 3-1 win against Inter, at the conclusion of 7 gameweeks.

“The players won this game, with their effort and their quality," Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa said following the victory.

“I loved their attitude and their quality, this mentality and ambition is what all Madrid fans want to see."

“The last few days have been very complicated, for all of us, but above all for me because of the whistles, and everyone speaking about me," Vinicius said.

“I try to give everything for this shirt and for the club who have given me so much."

Real midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni lauded Vinicius’ impact on the game as the Brazilian looks to guide the side out of the depths they find themselves in.

“This is my Vinicius," said Tchouameni.

“When we play well, the people that come here are very happy. Today was a very good night here in the Bernabeu."

Elswhere, Manchester City went down to Bodo/Glimt in a shocker as Pep Guardiola and Co. went down to another defeat with Kasper Waarts Hogh double and Jens Petter Hauge netting for the Norwegian side against Guardiola’s City in a 3-1 decimation, as Rayan Cherki’s goal went in vain.
