Lucknow: Once identified with ‘jungle raj’, Jewar has now become a symbol of ‘mangal raj’, said chief minister Yogi Adityanath while laying the foundation stone for an electronics manufacturing plant under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority on Saturday.“Jewar, once identified with ‘jungle raj’, has today become a symbol of ‘mangal raj’ due to an aggressive strategy for development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiring leadership,” the CM said.“The electronics manufacturing plant being set up by Ascent Circuits, a joint venture of Amber Enterprises and Korea Circuits, will be established with an investment of Rs 6,785 crore. It will give momentum to employment and new industries in the region,” the CM said.He mentioned that UP had an old relationship with Korea and said that the Queen Ho of Korea was believed to be Princess Ratna of Ayodhya.Speaking about the growth of mobile manufacturing in UP over the past few years, Yogi said that the Noida-Greater Noida were the largest centres, producing 55% of all mobile phones being made in India. “The region is also producing 55-60% of all electronic components being made in India,” he said.

Yogi also thanked the PM and other Union ministers for giving quick approvals to projects which are to be set up in UP. He said that the state govt did not need to even make a phone call to the Centre as approvals were granted automatically.Encouraging citizens to participate in India’s growth story, the CM said that one should follow PM Modi’s goal of making India a developed, self-reliant and prosperous nation by 2047.“This resolve begins from the state, district, city, village and every citizen. The PM has also laid special emphasis on civic duty. If every citizen works with full dedication, the dream of a developed India will be realized,” he said.Yogi remarked that investments like the electronics manufacturing plant would give UP a new identity, provide employment to the youth, prepare a platform for new start-ups, strengthen export capacity and give momentum to the resolve of a self-reliant India.Hitting out at the Opposition, the CM said that before 2017, UP was grappling with an identity crisis but now, under BJP’s double engine govt, it was attracting investors from across India and even the world.“This became possible due to improvement in law and order, different sectoral policies and a vast land bank of 75,000 acres which helped UP become the most suitable destination for investors. The govt has come up with a clear policy for every sector.

The govt gives incentives on time, provides a single window platform and the process of investment is completed without any human intervention. The result of this is that the youth of the state are getting employment rapidly,” the CM said.He pointed out that UP had the country’s first semiconductor unit. Calling semiconductors the world’s biggest power, he said: “India should become the focal point of this power and UP is moving forward rapidly in establishing the country as an electronic component hub.”
