A tragic accident on NH-107 near Rajpur village claimed the life of 25-year-old Saurav Kumar when an unidentified vehicle struck his motorcycle. Two pillion riders, Neha Kumari and Shishu Yadav, sustained injuries and were hospitalized. The trio was returning to Purnia after a visit to Singheshwar Sthan when the collision occurred. Police are investigating the incident.
Madhepura: An unidentified vehicle hit a motorcycle killing the rider on the spot and injuring two other pillion riders on NH-107 near Rajpur village under Bharrahi police station area in Madhepura district on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Saurav Kumar (25), son of Ramchandra Yadav, from Dafra ward no.10 under Gwalpara police station area in Madhepura district. The two injured pillion riders were: Neha Kumari (23), daughter of Manoj Yadav, resident of Bhargam under the same police station in Araria district and Shishu Yadav (24), resident of Malodha village in Saharsa district.Family sources said Saurav had gone to Singheshwar Sthan on Sunday and stayed there in the night.
In the morning, all the three were returning to Purnia when the accident occurred.Locals gathered at the spot to rescue them, but found Saurabh dead. Later, Bharrahi SHO Armod Kumar accompanied by police force reached the spot and rushed the injured to a hospital for treatment.Police, after preliminary formalities, took the body to Sadar Hospital Madhepura for the postmortem.
