One more recovers from amoebic fever in Kozhikode

One more person undergoing treatment for amoebic meningoencephalitis at the Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital (MCH) has recovered from the infection. This is the third case of recovery in less than a week.

According to hospital sources, a 40-year-old man from Annassery in Kozhikode, who had been admitted in August, was discharged on Friday. Meanwhile, a 10-year-old native of Malappuram has been taken in at the Institute of Maternal and Child Health (IMCH) wing of the hospital. At present, there are nine patients at the Kozhikode MCH and another patient at a private hospital in the city.
