A day after leading a massive AAP leaders’ exodus to BJP, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Saturday took a dig at his former party and its convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, over accusations of building a “Sheeh Mahal", saying that it was one of the key reasons for the AAP’s loss in the 2025 Delhi assembly elections.
“Today, Sheesh Mahal Part Two has come in Delhi. Some pictures of it have surfaced. If there was one major reason for the Aam Aadmi Party’s loss in the Delhi elections, the Sheesh Mahal was one of the main reasons for the party’s defeat," he told news agency ANI.

Chadha backed the BJP’s allegations against Kejriwal and questioned how party workers would respond to public scrutiny, suggesting that the issue could once again become a talking point among voters. Chadha added that the party should “introspect" and reflect on the matter.
“But today, not even a year has passed since the Delhi elections ended, and Sheesh Mahal Part Two has come. I wonder how the few remaining good workers of the Aam Aadmi Party will respond when people in the streets and localities ask them questions about Sheesh Mahal. The Aam Aadmi Party should introspect and think about it," he added.
Chadha, who defected to the BJP along with six other Rajya Sabha MPs, traded barbs at the AAP hours after the BJP dubbed the new bungalow allotted to Arvind Kejriwal as “Sheesh Mahal 2".
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma launched a sharp attack at the former Delhi Chief Minister, calling him the “Rehman dacoit of Delhi", and claimed that he had built “Sheesh Mahal part two".
Verma released an apparent layout and images of the new accommodation, alleging that “private money" was used for the superior quality amenities in that house.
He also recalled Kejriwal’s promise of leading a life of a common man without using government facilities.
“One who betrayed people of Delhi, who came to power in the name of Anna Hazare, showing pictures of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh. After losing elections, he went to Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendra Jain, Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia took possession of government residences near Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s residence. Bhagwant Mann is tense with these people," he added.
Verma alleged that AAP leaders, including Kejriwal, former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia occupied several government accommodations around Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence.
Meanwhile, AAP responded to the allegation levelled by Verma with former Chief Minister Atishi saying that these claims are misleading and false. She said that all the pictures released by Parvesh Verma are fake.
“They are not pictures of Kejriwal ji’s house. To find out whose house is how luxurious, Rekha Gupta ji and LG sahib should open their own houses, and Kejriwal ji will open his house. The public will decide for itself," she said in a post on X.
