OnePlus is reportedly working on the successor to the OnePlus 13. Reports suggest that OnePlus may skip the 14 series. The successor to OnePlus 13 could be named OnePlus 15. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared a Weibo post, where he names alleged colour options of the OnePlus 15.

As per the leakster, the upcoming OnePlus phone may be offered in Absolute Black, Dune, and Mist Purple (translated from Chinese) colour variants. Notably, the leak claims that Oneplus 15’s colour options will differ in terms of weight. The Dune colour variant of the expected OnePlus 15 may be the lightest at 211g. Meanwhile, the Absolute Black and Mist Purple variants are likely to weigh 215g each.

OnePlus 15 expected features

According to leaks, upcoming OnePlus 15 may bring noticeable design and hardware upgrades over its predecessor.

According to early renders, the handset is expected to sport a redesigned camera island. Unlike the circular module used on the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus 15 is tipped to adopt a square-shaped housing for its rear cameras, giving the device a more distinct and angular look.In terms of display, reports indicate that the smartphone could feature a 6.78-inch flat LTPO OLED panel. The screen is said to offer a 1.5K resolution and support for refresh rates of up to 165Hz, which would make it one of the smoothest displays in the company’s portfolio so far.

On the optics front, the OnePlus 15 is rumoured to feature a triple camera system. This may include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Adding to this, OnePlus has confirmed that it is working on its own proprietary image engine, named DetailMax. Although still in its prototype phase, industry sources suggest that the OnePlus 15 could be the first handset to debut with this imaging technology.
