 New BJYM UP chief

Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s newly appointed Uttar Pradesh president Rohit Mishra assumed charge at the BJP state office on Sunday after leading a procession from 1090 Chauraha to the party headquarters.

The march drew thousands of Yuva Morcha workers and young supporters.

Party workers and social organisations received Mishra at multiple points en route with flowers and felicitations. After taking charge, Mishra addressed youth workers from across the state at the Yuva Samvad programme, where he trained his remarks on the Samajwadi Party and Congress. “They will divide through casteism; we will unite through nationalism,” he said, adding that opposition parties would seek votes through caste calculations while the BJP would place its report card before the electorate.Calling for immediate mobilisation for the 2027 Assembly elections, Mishra asked workers to operate with “energy and dedication” to secure a decisive victory. He urged them to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision to every household and highlight govt achievements among urban and rural populations, including transparent recruitment drives, increased employment opportunities, expressways, airports, medical colleges and broader infrastructure growth.

Mishra also said Uttar Pradesh moved beyond its pre-2017 image of mafiaraj, corruption and caste-based recruitment.Former state president Pranshu Dutt Dwivedi described the Yuva Morcha as a medium of nation-building, while Subhash Yaduvansh called its workers carriers of social change.
