Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16C bring slim design and AI-powered controls

New Delhi: In several recent leaks, reports have indicated that the Oppo Reno 16 lineup is going to include multiple models, which include: Oppo Reno 16c, Oppo Reno 16F, Oppo Reno 16 FS, Oppo Reno 16, Oppo Reno 16 Pro, and Oppo Reno 16 Pro mini. But the Indian market has confirmed to receive at least two models as of now, Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16c. It might introduce a new visual identity centered around Oppo’s India’s first HoloVerse 3D design.

It is available on the Starry White version; the finish creates a naked-eye 3D effect that makes a planet-like element appear suspended beneath the rear panel. This effect changes depending on viewing angle and lighting conditions. The company stated that the design is achieved via a dual-layer optical structure combined with millions of precision microlenses. The lineup also incorporates a floating glitter effect and a redesigned camera ring for added depth.

The smartphone carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Oppo Reno 16 adapts an aerospace-grade aluminum frame that is promised to improve structural strength and drop resistance compared to conventional plastic-frame phones. The customizable side-mounted button can open the camera, flashlight, recorder, translator, and other functions. It also works with Oppo’s AI Mind Space platform, which integrates Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT features for saving, organizing, and retrieving information more efficiently.
