Over 2 lakh people visit 25th edition of Neyveli Book Fair

Over two lakh book lovers from all walks of life, including schoolchildren, visited the 25th edition of the Neyveli Book Fair hosted by NLC India Limited (NLCIL). The event that was launched amid fanfare on June 19, came to a close at the Book Fair Grounds in Neyveli on Sunday.

Addressing the valedictory function, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLCIL said the fair attracted two lakh visitors, including more than 65,000 students from 510 schools. He urged the schoolchildren to leverage such platforms to cultivate a lifelong love for books and knowledge.

As many as 10 eminent writers and 10 reputed publishers were honoured during the book fair. In addition, as many as 17 books were officially released. An e-souvenir was also released on the occasion.

NLCIL Directors Samir Swarup and Rajesh Pratap Singh Sisodia were present.
