Imphal: In a boost to the National People’s Party (NPP), 201 people, including more than 20 from BJP, joined the party during a consultative meeting and induction programme held in Imphal on Monday.Among those present at the event were NPP national vice-president Irengbam Hemochandra and national general secretary Mmhonlumo Kikon, who welcomed the new entrants and expressed confidence that the party’s base in Manipur would continue to expand in the coming months.Addressing the gathering, Hemochandra said the response to the party’s outreach efforts has been encouraging, with people from both the hills and the valley showing interest in strengthening a regional political platform rooted in the northeast. “This immense love and affection inspire us to work with renewed vigour and determination to bring Manipur back to its glory,” he said.
