The highest registrations were for engineering in CAP in Maharashtra
Pune: More than 2.19 lakh students have registered for the Maharashtra CET Cell’s CAP admission process for nine professional courses. Engineering has received the highest number of registrations, followed by three-year LLB, BEd and MBA.Registration for BE/BTech and MBA closes on July 12, BEd on July 16, five-year LLB on July 9, while registrations for MEd, MPED, BPED and three-year LLB closed on Monday. Candidates seeking admission to the five-year LLB programme can register until July 9. The CET Cell has told eligible students to complete their registration before the deadlines.As many as 1,04,393 students registered for BE/BTech admissions, followed by the three-year LLB programme, which has received 51,552 registrations.
BEd admissions have attracted 18,837 applicants, while 18,660 students have registered for MBA/MMS courses. The five-year LLB programme has received 17,862 registrations.Among the remaining courses, 4,110 students have registered for BPED, 2,106 for MEd, 1,734 for MPED and 389 for the three-year integrated BEd-MEd programme.The response comes despite a much larger pool of eligible candidates. The cell said 4,54,079 students appeared for the first engineering CET examination and another 2,85,038 appeared in the second opportunity.
For MBA/MMS, 1,16,197 candidates took the first examination, while 41,440 appeared in the second attempt.The BEd CET was taken by 99,570 candidates, while 69,473 students appeared for the three-year LLB entrance test and 29,288 for the five-year LLB examination. The number of candidates who appeared for BPED, MEd, MPED and the integrated BEd-MEd entrance tests stood at 4,965, 3,451, 2,134 and 797, respectively.
