Over 43,000 get provisional allotments in 3rd round of TNEA counselling

A total of 43,338 candidates secured provisional allotment of seats at the end of the third round of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling process.

Of them, 993 candidates belonged to the government schools (7.5% reservation) category. This apart, tentative allotments were also given to 8,091 candidates, out of which, 371 were from the government schools category.

Provisional allottees are required to report to the respective colleges and complete the admission process by August 17, while those with tentative allotments would have to submit their original certificates and pay the tuition fee mentioned in the allotment order at the TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) by the same date. A release said if students failed to report to the colleges or the TFCs, the seat allotments would be deemed cancelled and be allotted to students waiting for upward movement.
