All arrangements for the smooth conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-exam scheduled for Sunday are complete, and a total of 72,956 registered candidates will write the exam in Telangana.

There are 208 examination centres spread across 24 cities in the State, and the exam will be conducted from 2 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. Candidates with disabilities will be allowed to write the exam until 6.20 p.m.

Candidates can start reporting at the centres from 11 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. And no candidate will be allowed to enter the premises after 1.30 p.m.

According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), a multi-layered security framework is in place to ensure a fair and transparent examination. Confidential materials will be transported under sealed protocols. All exam centres are CCTV-enabled and linked to centralised control rooms. Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, along with improved and mandatory frisking using high-sensitivity metal detectors, will also be in place.

In Telangana, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao earlier held a review meeting with the departments concerned and instructed all District Collectors to ensure smooth proceedings.

The Telangana Road Transport Corporation has already announced free travel for candidates taking the test upon producing their hall tickets.

The police department has deployed teams to monitor online activity for misinformation and disturbances that might affect the examination.

For any clarifications, candidates can reach the NTA helpline at 011-40759000 and 011-69227700. Additionally, all official communication and alerts from the NTA to students will be sent through its WhatsApp channel linked to +91 78 27 98 02 87.
