Amid call for massive protests, the government of Pakistan has sealed all roads leading to the American embassy and Consulate Generals, local sources told CNN-News18 exclusively.
Pakistan’s major Sunni, Shia religious and political parties plan to hold protests after the Friday prayers in the wake of Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s killing and US-Israel attacks on Iran.
The protests
The Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Shia Ulema Council Of Pakistan, Ittehad Ummat Forum, Jammu & Kashmir Awaami Action Committee, other religious parties have called for the protests against America and Israel.

The Islamabad capital administration has sealed all entry and exit points of Red zone and diplomatic enclave and beefed up the security, said sources.
The Punjab Police have sealed all roads leading to the U.S. Consulate General in Lahore. The Sindh Police have taken additional measures to protect the Karachi Consulate General.
The Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Police have made special security arrangements for American Consulate General in Peshawar. The security of all foreign embassies and missions has also been beefed up.
The Special Military Troops have been deployed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir & Occupied Gilgit Baltistan Territory.
Shia Muslims want Pakistan to back out of the Gaza Board Of Peace and raise voice against America and Israel globally.
US advisory
The US Embassy has already issued advisory for closure of its all services centers, embassy and consulate generals on Friday.
The Pakistan federal and provincial governments have imposed Section 144 to maintain law and order.
The United States has ordered some staff to leave Pakistan and pulled out non-emergency staff from US embassy In Islamabad, Consulates In Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar, said a diplomatic source.
Pakistan and West Asia war
Pakistan on Thursday decided to introduce weekly revisions in petroleum prices effective from Saturday and consider measures such as work-from-home and distance learning to conserve fuel amid possible oil supply disruptions due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the cabinet committee formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to monitor petrol prices due to the regional situation, The Dawn newspaper reported.

The national action plan, prepared in consultation with the provinces, will be presented to Sharif on Friday. After his clearance, it will be taken up by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet for formal approval and implementation.
Back-to-back meetings of the three forums are scheduled for Friday, given the urgency of the situation, the report said, adding that contingency measures had also been discussed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway, connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, through which about a fifth of the world’s oil passes. The Strait was effectively closed following several attacks on ships by Iran in retaliation to joint US, Israel strikes. Both petrol and diesel have over 500,000 tonnes of stocks, enough for 26 and 25 days’ cover, the Dawn reported.
Pakistan has already formally requested Saudi Arabia to provide an alternative oil supply route through thro¬ugh the alternative Red Sea route to maintain its fuel supply chain.
