Pakistani TikToker Found Dead, Daughter Claims She Was 'Poisoned' For Refusing Marriage

Popular Pakistani TikTok content creator Sumeera Rajput was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her home in the Bago Wah area of Sindh’s Ghotki district.

The deceased’s 15-year-old daughter has claimed that her mother Sumeera Rajput was poisoned by individuals who had been pressuring her to marry forcibly, as reported by Geo News.

She claimed that her mother was given poisonous tablets, which led to her death, Ghotki District Police Officer Anwar Shaikh said as reported by the news outlet.

Two people have been taken into custody, but no FIR has been registered in the case so far. Police told Geo News that they are investigating whether foul play was involved.

Rajput, a digital content creator, had 58,000 TikTok followers and over one million likes on her posts. Allegations of forced marriage and poisoning are now surfacing, creating outrage and highlighting the deep-rooted violence faced by women in the country.

This incident is among a string of targeted killings involving female influencers in Pakistan. Last month, another TikToker named Sana Yousaf, 17, was shot dead inside her home in Islamabad.

As per the report by The Express Tribune, Sana was shot at close range by an unidentified assailant. The gunman reportedly entered her home and opened fire before fleeing the scene.

Sana, who hailed from Chitral in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, had gained popularity through her TikTok videos.

She had more than five lakh followers on Instagram. Other local media reports suggested that the suspect in the case may have been a guest at Sana’s residence.

Her alleged killer, 22-year-old Umar Hayat, had reportedly been harassing her for some time before the incident. The case triggered widespread anger online, with #JusticeForSanaYousaf trending on platforms like Instagram and X.
