Palaniswami criticises government for crimes involving TVK functionaries

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday criticised the TVK-led government for criminal offences allegedly involving TVK functionaries being reported across the State. Referring to media reports, he alleged that over 50 women had been affected in an incident in which TVK functionaries were involved.

Mr. Palaniswami questioned why Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay or the police force had not been a deterrent to those involved in the offences. The former Chief Minister called for transparency in the investigation of these cases and said there should not be any political interference. Those involved in the offences should be brought to book, he added.
