Parliament Winter Session 2025 Live Updates, Day 9: A heated exchange was witnessed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the latter’s “vote chori” claims.

The home minister blamed the Congress leadership for party’s poll losses, saying it was not the “EVM or the voters’ list” that was to blame.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi highlighted concerns over voter fraud in Haryana, claiming that 19 fake voters were identified in the state.

After this, opposition parties walked out of the house in protest against Amit Shah’s speech. The lower house will resume at 11 am on Thursday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Shah for his “outstanding” address in Lok Sabha, saying that he highlighted diverse aspects of the electoral process, and exposed the lies of the Opposition.

“An outstanding speech by Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji. With concrete facts, he has highlighted diverse aspects of our electoral process, the strength of our democracy and also exposed the lies of the Opposition,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
