Party high command wants Siddaramaiah to continue as CM, says Hebbalkar

Minister for Women and Child Development Laxmi Hebbalkar has said that it is a good thing that the Congress has considered the extension of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s tenure.

Speaking to presspersons in Dharwad, she said that if the BJP is trying to find fault and something which will benefit it, then it will be disappointed for sure.

“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is a mass leader and is popular across the country. He cares for the Congress, backward classes, oppressed communities and women,” she said.

Regarding speculations about change in leadership, she said that she is not aware of who has given a deadline to whom for effecting change in leadership. Any decision on this will be taken by the party high command, she said.
