Fans eagerly awaiting 'Pati Patni Aur Woh Do' will have to wait a little longer as the film's release has been postponed to May 15, 2026. The delay is attributed to ongoing post-production and the need to film an additional song, ensuring a polished cinematic experience. Fans have shown tremendous excitement for the upcoming film 'Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,' since its announcement in 2021. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi as main leads, it’s a comedic sequel to 2019’s smash hit 'Pati Patni Aur Woh.'
Originally set to release for Holi on March 4, 2026, there has now been a delay with the project being pushed back to a new release date of May 15, 2026.
Trade analyst confirms the revised date
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the updated release plan on X, formerly Twitter. In his post, he wrote, “AYUSHMANN KHURRANA – SARA ALI KHAN – WAMIQA GABBI – RAKUL PREET SINGH: ‘PATI PATNI AUR WOH DO’ GETS A NEW RELEASE DATE… Welcome to the world of #PrajapatiPandey… #AyushmannKhuranna, #SaraAliKhan, #WamiqaGabbi, and #RakulPreetSingh team up for #PatiPatniAurWohDo.
Directed by #MudassarAziz, the film will now hit cinemas on 15 May 2026.

Why was ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ pushed ahead?
According to Bollywood Hungama, the reason for the change in release dates is due to ongoing post-production work and needing to film one more song. Sources close to the production decided that they wouldn’t rush through these items and will take the time necessary to complete them so that they can deliver an amazing theatrical experience.
The sequel will see Mudassar Aziz return as director having also directed the original film. The original “Pati Patni Aur Woh” featured Kartik Aryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday, while this film will provide a whole new cast and storyline that will up the ante by providing more comedic moments through the use of bolder situations and sharper humour.
