Margao: Congress will hold firm on constituencies where it maintains a strong presence during seat-sharing talks on alliances, said party president Amit Patkar. He said seats held by Congress MLAs are non-negotiable and will remain with the party regardless of alliance discussions.Speaking about the party’s approach to alliances, Patkar said it remains willing to discuss seat-sharing arrangements with like-minded parties, but only in constituencies where the party is relatively weak or where its vote share is low.Addressing questions about relations with AAP, Patkar dismissed suggestions that Congress was responsible for the breakdown in alliance talks. He said it was AAP that decided to contest the recent ZP elections independently.
